Joined in the position of trainee Civil Engineering Draughtsman. Qualified three years later resulting in my being acquainted in drawing office procedure, with a substantial knowledge of Engineering activities which included the following:-

•   RC Detailing;
•   Ben ding Schedules;
•   Structural Steel Detailing;
•   Longitudinal and Cross Sections for Roads, Railways and Pipelines;
•   Area and Volume Calculations;
•   Transition Curves;
•   Circular and Vertical Curves for Railways and Roads;
•   Levelling and Surveying;
•   Plotting of Surveys (Lo and Local System);
•   Co-ordinate Calculations;
•   Water, Sewerage and Storm-water Drainage;
•   Practical Engineering in Building Design and Construction;
•   Writing of Specifications;
•   Site supervision and Inspection, and
•   Office Correspondence.

Often lectured in computer literacy including DOS, Lotus 123, DBaseIII, and computers in general.
